Dr. Asma Mobin-Uddin was born and raised in the United States.
She received her undergraduate and medical school degrees
from The Ohio State University. Her internship and residency
training in pediatrics were completed in Cleveland. She is a
pediatrician, but has taken time off to stay home with her
young children. Since 1998, Dr. Mobin-Uddin has served as vice-
president of the Ohio Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic
Relations, a Washington-based advocacy group that seeks
to promote a better understanding of Islam and Muslims.
